Demonetization means that Reserve Bank of India has withdrawn the old ₹500 and ₹1000 notes as an official mode of payment. According to Investopedia, demonetization is the act of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. Demonetization is the act of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. Demonetization is essential whenever there is a change of national currency. The old unit of currency must be retired and replaced with a new currency unit. The demonetisation was done in an effort to stop the counterfeiting of the current banknotes alleged to be used for funding terrorism and for cracking down on black money in the country. Following the announcement by the Prime Minister and the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Urjit Patel made a press release with details on the procedure for exchanging the 500 and 1000 rupee notes that are currently in circulation. On 8 November, other than the notification that these denomination will be discontinued. This study mainly used secondary data which is collected from different newspapers and websites

Advancement in infotainment system in automotive sector with vehicular cloud network and current state of art

    Get PDF
The automotive industry has been incorporating various technological advancement on top-end versions of the vehicle order to improvise the degree of comfortability as well as enhancing the safer driving system. Infotainment system is one such pivotal system which not only makes the vehicle smart but also offers abundance of information as well as entertainment to the driver and passenger. The capability to offer extensive relay of service through infotainment system is highly dependent on vehicular adhoc network as well as back end support of cloud environment. However, it is know that such legacy system of vehicular adhoc network is also characterized by various problems associated with channel capacity, latency, heterogeneous network processing, and many more. Therefore, this paper offers a comprehensive insight to the research work being carried out towards leveraging the infotainment system in order to obtain the true picture of strength, limitation, and open end problems associated with infotainment system

An unusual case of metallic foreign body in the left knee: a rare case report

Foreign bodies in the knee joint are uncommon, particulary those not related to surgical procedures. We present a rare case of an intraosseous metallic foreign body penetrating the lateral femoral condyle at left knee causing pain, which was removed with complete resolution of the symptoms due to walking – running injury in a child

A first instance of whale shark caught in Dol net and rescued in live condition at Gorai- Malvani, Maharashtra

The first observation of Rhincodon typus that was rescued live from Dol net on October 21 st, 2015 is given here. A male whale shark, about 6.5 m in length incidentally entered the Dol net at 30 m depth off Gorai-Malvani region, Mumbai. The net was hauled after about four hours with the help of a winch

Implementation of Vision and Lidar Sensor Fusion Using Kalman Filter Algorithm

    Get PDF
Self-driving car is the next milestone of the automation industry. To achieve the level of autonomy expected in a self-driving car, the vehicle needs to be mounted with an assortment of sensors that can help the vehicle to perceive its three dimensional environment better which leads to better decision-making and control of the vehicle. Each sensor possesses different strengths and weaknesses; they can complement each other better when combined. This is done by a technique called sensor fusion wherein data from various sensors are put together in order to enhance the meaning and accuracy of the overall information. In real time implementations, uncertainty in factors that affect the vehicle's motion can lead to overshoot in parameters. In order to avoid that, an estimation filter is used to predict and update the fused values. This project focuses on sensor fusion of Lidar and Vision sensor (camera) followed by estimation using Kalman filter using values available from an online data set. It can be seen how the use of an estimation filter can significantly improve the accuracy in tracking the path of an obstacle

A REVIEW ON SCREENING METHODS OF BREAST CANCER, CANCER BIOMARKERS AND PHYTOCONSTITUENTS AGAINST BREAST CANCER

    Get PDF
A cancer biomarker refers to a substance or process that is used as an indicative the presence of cancer in the body. A biomarker may be a molecule secreted by a tumor or a specific response of the body to the presence of cancer. Biomarkers are utilized in three elementary ways as a diagnostic tool, prognostic tool, and predictive tool. The screening tests employed are clinical and breast exams, mammography, hereditary screening, ultrasound, and attractive reverberation imaging. Biomarkers involved in breast cancer are human epidermal growth factor-2, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, Cyclin D1, and Cyclin E. Specific bioactive phytoconstituents used as anticancer include curcumin, genistein, resveratrol, isothiocyanates, silymarin, diallyl sulfisoxazole, lycopene, apigenin, and gingerol. Hence, this review indicates the study of screening methods, various biomarkers in breast cancer and phytoconstituents against breast cancer

High-sensitivity C-reactive protein, lipid profile, malondialdehyde and total antioxidant capacity in psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by epidermal hyperproliferation and lymphocytic infiltration. The ongoing inflammatory process in psoriasis affects the arterial wall promoting the atherosclerotic process, increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a younger group of patients. Atherosclerotic processes involve an inflammatory component and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein considered as a marker of the inflammatory component in atherosclerosis. This study was undertaken to evaluate the levels of hsCRP and the traditional risk markers like lipid profile in psoriasis. A case control study as done with 40 cases of psoriasis and 40 healthy controls. The biochemical parameters: lipid profile, hsCRP, malondialdehyde and total antioxidant capacity were estimated on the fasting blood samples. There was a significant increase in lipid profile in cases but these levels were well within the reference ranges for the same. There was a significant rise in hsCRP and malondialdehyde with decreased levels of total antioxidant capacity in cases suggesting a state of inflammation and oxidative stress which co-exists with psoriasis and also plays a role in atherosclerosis. Keywords: Inflammation; atherosclerosis; cardiovascular disease; oxidative stres

Enhanced Gain Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wimax Applications

This paper proposes a rectangular shaped microstrip patch antenna with enhanced gain which is focused to be used for wimax applications. As today there is a growing demand of wimax technology, the objective of this project is to optimize the gain of antenna and thereby study the effects of antenna dimensions Length(L),Width(W) and substrate parmeters ,relative dielectric constant, substrate thickness on its performance. This project introduces a method using double layer with airgap to design antenna operating at 3.6GHz giving high performance in terms of gain and return loss.A microstrp probe feeding technique and moments based IE3D software will be used to design a microstrip patch antenna with enhanced gain

To study the implications of Electronic Toll Collection System using RFID technology

    Get PDF
Transportation is the backbone of any country’s economy. Due to increasing number of vehicles on the road, problems such as congestion, air pollution and many others have become a major factor of concern. Traditional toll collection booths require a number of operations like stopping the vehicle, lowering the window, finding the correct coinage or valid card before travelers can continue their journey. This research paper describes the Electronic toll collection system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. As time and efficiency are a matter of priority nowadays, the traditional method has to be reformed. In order to overcome the major issues of traffic congestion and time consumption RFID technology is used. RFID reader fixed at tollgate frame reads the tag attached to windshield of vehicle. The object detection sensor in the reader detects the approach of the incoming vehicle’s tag and toll deduction takes place through a prepaid card assigned to the concerned RFID tag that belongs to the owners’ account. Electronic toll collection system (ETC) has various advantages compared to traditional method
